Personal data is any kind of information that can be attributed to a living individual. This can be, for example, a name, personal identity number or telephone number. All personal data provided to HSA Söderqvist Advokatbyrå KB, hereinafter HSA Söderqvist, is processed in order for us to fulfill our obligations to you as a client. Processing is also carried out so that we can comply with the rules of the Swedish Bar Association and other relevant regulations applicable to our operations.
Your personal data will also be processed by our contractors when they carry out activities that involve the processing of personal data. For example, we have engaged contractors for services such as the provision of IT systems. All contractors processing personal data on our behalf are subject to data processing agreements ensuring that your personal data is handled in accordance with applicable legislation. As a general rule, the law firm is always the data controller for the personal data being processed.
HSA Söderqvist safeguards the privacy of its clients, partners, and employees and is committed to always complying with applicable data protection laws. Everyone has the right to protection of their personal data.
HSA Söderqvist receives your personal data when you enter into an engagement agreement with us and when you provide your data to receive marketing, such as newsletters.
HSA Söderqvist also receives personal data in connection with recruitment processes or when supplier agreements are entered into, where contact information for the supplier’s employees is provided. Personal data provided in a job application will be processed only within the scope of the recruitment process and will be deleted no later than one year after the application date.
HSA Söderqvist processes personal data to be able to fulfill the agreements with clients that HSA has entered into. Processing also occurs to comply with general corporate regulations such as accounting laws, as well as rules specific to legal services, such as anti-money laundering laws. The legal basis for processing personal data is the agreement between the data subject and HSA, a legal obligation, or the data subject’s consent. HSA may also process personal data for marketing purposes, such as invitations to seminars and events. The right to process your personal data for marketing purposes is based on a balancing of interests conducted by HSA prior to the processing.
If your personal data is registered with HSA, you have the right to obtain information about what data HSA Söderqvist processes and to object to certain types of processing. If you wish to receive information about which data is being processed, you can request this in writing at the address listed on the first page. If HSA Söderqvist processes your data based on consent, you always have the right to withdraw such consent.
We are legally required to disclose certain personal data to authorities such as the Swedish Enforcement Authority.

We always strive to process your personal data within the EU/EEA. However, in some cases, your data may be processed outside this area. In such cases, your data will be protected at a level comparable to that offered within the EU/EEA.
